🍽️ Dinner conversation: Passion vs Grit 👇🏽
The advice often given to young people—' just follow your passion'—doesn't sit well with me. I have two young humans trying to figure out this world and how to navigate it and reconcile their feelings with their thoughts and all the noise and nonsense on social media.

I might be old school now (who would have thought!), but for me, it's about finding something they're really good at, then dedicating thousands of hours to it, making sacrifices, learning to go through setbacks, and pushing through the hard stuff that most people avoid. It's about grit and that willingness to persevere.
I don't know what the decade ahead will bring—superintelligence, robots, maybe a world where the global GDP grows so much that we all get to spend our days on our passions. But until that day comes, my gut says, "Just put in the hard work." For me, grit beats passion every day of the week.
